Expressive Art Therapy

“Engaging in the creative process allows
the opportunity for healing.”
(sba)

Committed to the healing power of art, S. Brooke Anderson  became certified in Expressive Art Therapy  to lead workshops for inmates at the Fraser Valley Institution, a federal prison for women in Abbottsford, BC.  She is currently facilitating a pilot project supported by Prison Fellowship Canada, using a newly published innovative art based workbook called 'Keep an Eye on Your Soul' by Jerome Gastaldi. This workbook is designed to effect positive change in the world and allow participants the opportunity to engage in creativity as they explore ideas about their lives, belief system and their role in the world. This workbook encourages reflection of past, present and future goals through the creative process, combining painting, drawing, collage, poetry and writing.

“Often the hands will solve a mystery that the intellect has struggled with in vain.” (Carl Jung)

proper task of life.”
